Since its inception 18 years ago, Okura Garden Hotel Shanghai has consistently stressed great importance to environmental protection and energy saving. As early as at the end of 2006, the Hotel was awarded ISO 14001 Environment Management System Accreditation certificate, which enabled it to become the first foreign invested hotel in Shanghai to be granted such honor.     This year, on the basis of previous accreditation, the Hotel set up a “Promotion Committee” to implement enforcement measures and speed up the creation of green hotel under the guidance of the General Manager. This move reflects the hotel’s spirit of constant surpassing itself and adhering to the path of making joint progress with the society. We will persist in rational utilization of resources, voluntary protection of ecological environment in line with the attitude of holding ourselves accountable to both the society and the environment.
